1. This is the latest Izzy Art

2. This was really a challenging week. Every morning at 7:50, Rosie and I were at some park somewhere in the county so that she could run with her team for an hour or so (and I would walk). But then we had to dash back to the car, run home so that Rosie could take a quick shower and then head over to Shakespeare Camp!!

As you can imagine by the time I picked her up at 2 p.m., she was pretty tired, but she still managed to practice her piano, walk her dog, and catch a couple of movies with her sister.

3. Shakespeare Camp was held by a local theater. It was 20 hours of intense focus on the works of William Shakespeare. The 13 kids heard a synopsis of 21 of the 37 plays, and they studied a sonnet. They also worked on their diction and how to approach a Shakespearean play.

Then on the last day of the camp, they performed a scene from Midsummer’s Night Dream. Rosie was the wall.

4. If you missed my post on the Theology of the Bachelorette, it’s here.

Another article on the topic, The Bible and the Bachelorette, is here by Bucky Kennedy.

5. I’m going to be teaching Logic again this year at our homeschool co-op. I’m looking for good and not-so-good discussions to share with my class. Here’s kind of what I’m looking for. If you find any you think I should include, leave a link in the comments!

6. I am using Help for High School. as part of Rosie’s English this year. By working through it together, I think she will have a very good background in academic writing for the rest of high school and beyond. The more I go over that book, the more confident I feel that I’ll be able to solely handle her writing on my own this year, with the exception of some possible Bravewriter classes in the spring or next summer.

7. I’ll bookend this post with the latest Rosie art
