Welcome to my Homeschool Open House! And special thanks to Tiany or organizing this neat event!

I have homeschooled all of my children since kindergarten. I have six children ages 2 to 18. My oldest child started attending a digital academy sponsored by our local school system in the eighth grade. He goes to school a few days a week and then does most of his work on his computer at home. He also swims on the local high school swim team.

My second son is going to be homeschooled through high school by me, so I am feeling a bit of stress and strain about it! Nonetheless, with the grace of God, we’re going for it!

I will also have a sixth grader, a fourth grader, a third grader… oh, and a very loud and lovely toddler!

I just posted my homeschool schedule and high school curriculum on the side bar of my homeschool blog here.

I use a lot of different resources for my curriculum, but for literature I hope to be following Ambleside and Mater Amabilis more closely. I do not homeschool for free, but I use the library for free, I reuse books, and I buy almost everything used on e-Bay or Amazon.

I do like to have a structure to the day, but I have to go with the flow too and not beat myself up about it. It’s like a diet – somedays you’re just gonna not do so good. You have to pick yourself up and move on!

I do have a homeschool room and also a place for my high schoolers to study. You can read about that here.

I have a lot of homeschool links you might helpful, although I really need to get in there and do some housecleaning too!

Thanks for stopping by!
