I am thinking…

about how much I am looking forward to fall… and dreading it at the same time. I am not looking forward to doing all of the homeschool notification stuff again – especially after just finishing the NCAA stuff. I am also losing my only other kid driver – which means I have to prepare my other teen for driving, and I think I’m just going to miss him – even though he’s a commuter student.

At the same time, I’m excited for all of the opportunity Noah will get at his new school, and I’m excited to go to college cross country events. I’m excited about the new curriculum I bought for Izzy that is definitely more business and skills focused, and I’m excited for watching Rosie run at the top of her age group this year.

I am thankful…
for Mr. Pete – who did all of the grocery shopping, grilling and cleaning up over the weekend.

In the kitchen…

I’m thinking orange crock pot chicken paleo style.

I am wearing…

Black capris, gray t-shirt.

I am pondering...

If a friend only has contact with you when it’s convenient for them, only sees you when it fits in with their agenda and plans, are they really your friend?

I am going…

  • to walk or work out every day with Pfilates . I have to include some arm work out with this.
  • to cut my carbs via the Wheat Belly Total Health: The Ultimate Grain-Free Health and Weight-Loss Life Plan  recommendations. I think this is going well.  I feel that my core is smaller and clothing looser.  After decades of letting my moods and life be ruled by the number on the scale, I have a real phobia of getting on the scale.  But I know I’m limiting carbs and portion sizes and I feel good about that.
  • Make some plans to keep my girls busy this summer – activities for Rosie- starting a business for Izzy.

A quote to share…

As the Court applies whatever standard it likes to any given case, nothing but empty words separates our constitutional decisions from judicial fiat.

I bought an Easter Lilly at the grocery store last year, and planted it outside when it was done blooming. I thought it had died, but last week I saw that not only was it alive and well, bit it was blooming too!
