The first full week of homeschooling is behind me! It should go a lot easier from here on out. All the kids are reading and doing their math. We started science (hurricanes – natch!) and even got a bit of writing in.

My work is the one thing I can’t control. I thought with the one company I am transcribing for I was impervious to slow downs and not having enough work, but I discovered this week that if the work slows down too much, they’ll take work from those who have and give to those who have not. So my income goals for this pay period are shot as I am not able to access my standby account as the full time gals have it all to themselves for a while, at least until they get overwhelmed with work again. I hope that is soon.

So as soon as I feel comfortable in my schedule again, I should be back to regularly blogging. In the meantime, here are some thoughts randomly running through my head.

When Obama made the pig/lipstick comment, he may not have meant it as a slam on Sarah Palin, but the audience sure took it that way. Their reaction was quite audible.

Charlie Gibson treated Sarah Palin as if she was a naughty school girl. I just reviewed his interview with Obama and he just lobbed him some soft balls! He definitely had a different standard for Gov. Palin. She on the other hand, handled him with a lot of grace. Geesh how many times can the same question be asked? She should have told him, “Asked and answered Charlie!”

A gal I worked with 20 years ago died. When we worked together I was her superior at 28 and she was 41. She sure gave me a hard time, but she was really funny too. I was sorry to hear of her passing.

The new front man for Journey is amazing!
He sounds just like Steve Perry. It’s an amazing story too.
