a three syllable word, that starts with a P

and insists on asking questions like this and in this way:

Back to the questions that you do not want to answer:

Yes or no. I hope to get into heaven because I have done good works.

Yes or no. I hope to get into heaven because I have been baptized

Yes or no. I hope to get into heaven because I receive the eucharist.

Yes or no. I hope to get into heaven because I have done penance

Yes or no. I hope to get into heaven because I have confessed my sins to a priest.

Yes or no. I hope to get into heaven because I obey the commandments.

Yes or no. I hope to get into heaven because I am becoming righteous.

Yes or no. After I die, my sins are not totally paid for, so I must suffer in purgatory until I have expiated my sin.

Hint: They are found in the gospels, usually trying to trap Jesus with specific questions asked in specific ways. See Matthew 19:30

My original reply to these questions BTW was:
LOL! Oh Ellen, you do like to play the prosecutor don’t you. The Devil’s advocate as it were. How appropriate.

Nonetheless, of course I hope to get to heaven because of all of those things – just as Jesus taught us. And at the end of this life, if I have not been purified with every ounce of selfishness and self-centeredness cleansed from my soul, I hope that by the grace of God I can enter Purgatory and endure the purification there to enter into heaven.
