My Big Catholic Family – Praying and Staying Together for a Week

My biggest accomplishment as a wife and mother has been raising these six wonderful kids, who have grown into great adults. They are friends with each other and with us. I love all of my daughters-in-law and appreciate them so much. I also have three charming grandchildren. I have been truly blessed.

We have a great group chat, and we always talk and pray for one another. We get along so well that the group decided four years ago to have a reunion every two years. So that’s what we did this year. We all rented a house to stay in. An addition this year was Rosie’s serious boyfriend, Jason. I guess we figured if he can put up with all of us for a week, that would be the true test of their relationship. He passed with flying colors.

This year, we were in Oak Island, North Carolina. We had a huge house that fit us all comfortably. It was just a short walk to the beach but there was also a small private pool. It was just the place to socialize and relax.

Although going to the beach and hanging around the house together was great, what meant the most to me was worshipping together. Our first Sunday, we were at Sacred Heart Church in Southport, North Carolina.
