The Transfiguration of the Lord

I heard an interesting talk about this on Catholic radio connecting the importance of our spiritual health with our physical health. The speaker pointed out that Jesus and the disciples walked about two miles up a steep slope to get to this place BEFORE the transfiguration even happened, and yet the apostles with Jesus were not overcome with fatigue, but able to fully appreciate all that they were called to witness. Truly food for thought on keeping a balance in our lives between the two.

I guess it makes sense that the physician, St. Luke, would write about this event so eloquently, through the eyes of a healer. Read the passage again with that in mind and see if it doesn’t give another perspective!
