Tomorrow is the Feast of the Epiphany. I have a nice printable for use when families are chalking and blessing their homes this week.

If you’d like a free printable, sign up for my newsletter here.

2.

One of my favorite cantors!

Rosie started cantoring by herself over the Advent/Christmas season. On Christmas Eve she sang at one of the early family masses and did a great job! She is also cantoring this weekend for Epiphany!

3. I am dreading the next semester. D R E A D I N G it.

And I’m not sure why. It could be because I don’t want to drive to co-op once a week during snowstorms and bad roads. We had a near-miss experience last year that put me off of that a little bit.

It could be because the two classes I am teaching for the co-op take A LOT OF MY FREE TIME and I’m sort of kicking myself for putting so much energy into something that does not earn an income.

Or it could be because I really want to spend more time on Rosie’s Literature and History, but again I can’t because I’m putting in so much time with my co-op courses.

So I spent a lot of time last week working on my General Science Course and have sort of prepped three to four weeks of classes already. I’m also ready for Logic. Maybe being ahead of the game like that will help me feel like I’m more on top of things.

4. There are a couple of other reasons I feel a little angsty.

Mr. Pete has been remodeling my kitchen and it is going to be GORGEOUS when he’s done with it. But there’s a lot of dust and dirt, and moving stuff around, and working around his work area, all making meal prep a burden and the constant cleaning is disheartening. Here’s a little glimpse of what the kitchen and the dining room looked like before we started working on it.

5.

I am also dreading the end of Windows 7. I put out a lot of money for a great computer when Windows quit supporting XP and it still runs great and I love it!! I DO NOT want to replace it really. On the other hand, can I justify putting money into a computer that’s almost six years old? That whole thing is making me anxious as well and I know I have to decide really soon.

6. If you haven’t signed up for the New Year, New You Mom’s conference, you should do that soon at the low early bird price of $15! Get motivated and inspired! The conference starts next week.
