Outside my window…

This was super easy to make.  I bought foamy paper from Pat Catan’s in Red and white.  We drew the Holy Spirit on the white paper and hot glued it to the red.  Then we folded the red foam into a tube and hot glued that.  The ribbon is also hot glued to the red  and at the very tips of them are the individual gifts of the Holy Spirit!

I am thinking…
about how difficult the transition from school to summer is going to be, especially for Rosie – who is all into the idea of doing NO SCHOOL this summer while her friends are out.  It is going to be a little tough to get her to sit still a while to get any of her work done!

I am thankful…
that the choir is done for the summer and that Noah is done with the course work for Driver’s ed – it’s nice to have some of those things done for the year and out of the way – but looking forward to next year!

Here’s a picture of the choir processing in with their brand new robes!  Sis and I made a donation for them in mama’s name – I know Mama would have been tickled to see how lovely they are on the entire choir, but especially her grandchildren!
Photo: Here's another. Almost the whole group was there for their last Sunday before summer break. Great job! Rest well!
I am also thankful that I got to have a nice long chat with my BFF for life, on Saturday night.  We talked nonstop for two hours – it was great to catch up!  It’s also great to have  a girlfriend that knows me so very well.

In the kitchen…
Some more recipes from this gem!!

One recipe used left over chicken with cashew butter with peas and zucchini pureed in the food processor and then fried in olive oil – delicious!   There were no left overs!!

I am wearing…
black yoga pants and great long-sleeved shirt.

I am going…

  • to workout Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and possibly even walk in the afternoon. .
  • to record one of my workouts.
  • I’m also going to upload the kid’s piano recital but of course since I am now on Windows 7 I have to figure out how to do all of that.
  • Take Rosie to swim classes.
  • Pray for my math tutor and his family who will welcome twins this fall.
  • Really double down on my prayer time this summer.

I am pondering…

I am thinking of making my prayer corner a place in my room – but I need to clean a space for it first!

I am reading…
Last week I read –

This week I am back to

From the Learning Rooms…

Noah took a practice test for CLEP US History 2 and is in striking distance of passing!!!

Izzy was accepted as one of 70 students into the art program for the City of Akron.  She will be working on a mosaic!  She is reading To Kill a Mocking Bird.

The three of us are reading Farewell to Arms.

Rosie starts swimming lessons.

One of my favorite things…

Rosie art work – age 9.

I am hoping…

  • To walk and/or work out every day this week.
  • Get some flute practice done.
  • Start pondering my curriculum choices for next year.
  • That Noah will be ready for the CLEP in American History 2 within the next few weeks.
  • Do a big time cleaning job on my master bedroom this weekend!

I am looking forward to...

Reunions with family members this summer.
