One thing also you can do with Kindle Fire: whenever you're on the 'net (on desktop or elsewhere) you can save articles you want to read later (offline) to Instapaper, and then have the articles sent to your kindle either weekly or daily. It's pretty nice to have a collection of articles you actually want to read waiting for you even if you're offline.
