Small Successes

1. I finished going through all of the cards and letters that my mom had saved in a desk and little file cabinet. I laughed, I cried, I organized, but it’s all done. I ruthlessly threw out cards that were just signed but with no note, (although I kept some with beautiful pictures.) And I put all of my grandmother’s letters in chronological order – what a tale they tell! Now I can finally get some of these things off of my front porch!

2. I am done with school for the year. We’re not really “done” as in all the books are finished, but I’m done in the sense that I am having my portfolios reviewed tomorrow and then I’m not doing any homeschool with the kids for a week or two. – and the success is I am completely without remorse, guilt or anxiety about it. This was a helluva year and I need a break!!

3. 30 years and 4 days of marriage – that’s no “small success!”

Bonus success – The kids, Mr. Pete and I went up to The Fest and lived to tell about it!More on that tomorrow!
