To pass some bits of time yesterday I engaged in a discussion over at SolaMom.

The topic sort of was the Rosary, although it had morphed into effective ways to witness. I actually was sort of enjoying myself. It’s been a while since I have had a stimulating theological discussion, and this one was perfect. Not too heated, respectful, perfect for the amount of time and effort I have to put into these sorts of things lately.

Today though, I checked the thread and read:

“Elena:

I’m going to place moderation on your comments as I’ve learned you have removed a comment on your own blog labeling it “polemic”.

jules”

My reply:

Don’t know where you heard that Jules. As a rule I don’t remove comments, of late I haven’t gotten many comments, and I had to look up “polemic.”

So I dunno. Might have happened on the Candyland blog, but I really don’t recall removing any comments and “polemic” isn’t in my top 1000 favorite vocabulary words. But I’m sure if I did someone remembers. Feel free to refresh my memory because I’m truly drawing a blank.

But here’s something new for me. I. don’t. care. I don’t have the energy to spend time on another blog or forum that’s going to block or censor me. Been there, done that, many times. And there’s no thrill in it any more. I want to engage and discuss with people who want to engage and discuss whether or not we share the same point of view. Maybe I’ve grown up? Wised up? Both? Probably. But I guess part of spending so much time with my mom of late, as well as the birthday looming a month or so away, is that life is too short to keep beating your head against a brick wall. I’ve decided to use mine for other things!
