Outside my window
Blue skies, a few clouds, dead tree, still very, very cold.

I am thinking…
I’m glad the Time Warner Cable people finally got my internet, phone and t.v. back up! It has been an intermittent problem for more than a week, and then it finally just quit working! I had two service calls and the second repair tech seemed to think the problem was outside. I concurred because it seemed that we lost services at night and got them back once the day heated up. But today, with this cold snap, nothing came back up! So I visited the local Cable office PERSONALLY and got some results. Within four hours, a very nice man came and fixed something that needed fixing on the pole outside my home! Hopefully, I won’t have any more problems.

I am thankful for…my husband who has persevered in settling my father’s estate against my EFC. It seems that we may eventually get some closure to this, and that the property my father always meant for my sister and me to have, will be ours.

From the learning rooms…I bit the bullet and scheduled Sam’s CLEP test for American History. He needs to have a deadline in sight and I need to have closure. We also both need to get onto Biology! So ready or not Sam will sit for the CLEP test on March 23!

From the kitchen…I have potato soup in the pot for tonight! I am also planning a simple 3-bean soup for Wednesday and Tuna Heroes for our Friday Lenten Meal! Turkey Breast for Tuesday and I think sloppy joes for Thursday – it’s kind of a very easy cooking week!

I am wearing…black pants, a pink knit shirt and a black jacket.

I am creating… These very nice little stations of the cross candles!

I am going… to go crazy. Eventually. Maybe even sooner than I think!

I am reading…
How to Win Any Argument
and
Bud, Not Buddy

I am LOVING How to Win any Argument.  The author has so many really funny anecdotes and ideas.  This isn’t a book about how to beat anybody down, but it is really more of a book about understanding human nature and how to be a good listener.  I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I am hoping…that I can find the grave of that little baby this week. Too much snow last week prevented me from getting back out there.

I am hearing…my normal low ear buzz. and Rosie trying to reason with our friend J. Tyler.

Around the house…we are officially in the Lenten season.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Making it to daily mass every day this week AND starting our St. Paul Bible study.
