Here are my 2007 resolutions! and 2008

1. To try to get more ORGANIZED prayer time into my day, especially with my husband.
Maybe a C+ from last year. The kids and are doing well with organized prayer and we were very active with Jr. Legion of Mary last year and the rosary. I made it to more daily masses. Mr. Pete and I still need more couple prayer and I need more time for personal alone time prayer.

2. To get more scripture study in too. I am using this tool this year. I’m also going to give myself more time and not aim for the entire bible in one year.

3. To be more organized in my household, but particularly with my homeschool. To that end I am going to make myself write in my homeschool blog more to keep a more accurate picture of what we are accomplishing. I’d give myself a B on this for last year. I did do more homeschool blogging, but much of it was last minute. I did get a lot of great pictures though!

Organization wise- three of my offspring are taller than I am! So why am I always picking up after them? This year I am determined to get those guys to help me much more with cooking and cleaning.  I don’t feel one bit compromised by that either. If they’re going to be living on their own someday, single, married or even in a rectory somewhere they’re going to have to know how to live more neatly!

I’m still working on this.

4. To read more to the little ones AND keep track of it on my Library Thing – also in my homeschool blog.

I give myself an A-! We did TONS more reading last year. Need to do more narration and record keeping.

5. More prayer time with the kids including the Angelus, First Fridays, and Divine Mercy.
We learned the Our Father in Latin! Still working on this.

7. To earn at least one plenary indulgence a month!
Well, I didn’t get one every month so I’ll keep working on it.

8. To pay off at least 10% of my oustanding credit card debt. This will be easier this year. Renewed for 2009 although our debt did not grow and I have taken on more work for more income.

9. To hit my new weight loss goal before my BIG BIRTHDAY IN JUNE! I am following along with Barb Curtis and Friends on that one!.

10. To practice my instrument at least 3 times a week. yea right! I did manage to perform a lot more last year, particularly at Christmas time!

11. Keep up with my medical transcription business. (did it!)Perhaps add a client this year? Did it and added another client!

12. Get my eBay business humming!! I actually did pretty good with this and now that I have a better idea what sells, I’m hoping to take it to the next level.

I sort of let this go in 2008 although we did continue to do musical instrument sales.  I have tons of books to sell – now if I could only get motivated to list them! Hoping to continue in 09.

13. Change my homeschool philosophy around to reflect more of a Charlotte Mason, Real Learning paradigm.

I did fairly well with this. Keep working.

13. To blog a little something everyday keeping Mary’s demeanor with St. Theresa of Avilla’s humor! (ugh)

14. Make a concerted effort to let the people in my life who are important to me – KNOW THAT! And this year I am adding a part 2 to that. I can let people that I love, like, admire etc. know that. But I can’t make them reciprocate. There is one gal in particular that I have often thought it would be fun to be best friends with because we have so much in common. I’ve tried to be a friend to her and although I think she considers me a “friend” and maybe even a confidant, I don’t think I’m ever going to be the one she thinks of when it comes to doing stuff with. In 2009, I’ve got to let that go.
