Moms of Many Exercise Challenge

Mr. Pete and I have got our walking route up to 4 miles now and it takes us a little over an hour to complete it (including a stop at Walgreen’s for something to drink!) So we are going around 2mph which is supposedly pretty good! I only got two walks in last week though. I’m finding that when I get to “that time of the month” I just can’t exercise or stand as much. (Isn’t that weird?) I blew the veins out of my right leg during my last three pregnancies. They don’t bother me or really even look that bad most of the time, but on the first couple days of my period they swell, bulge and ache! And it’s only on the one leg? (which incidentally made my busy wedding weekend a bit challenging!)

Anyway I did something daring for me last week too. I weighed myself! Turns out I hadn’t weighed myself since September. My reaction was – calm. It was about what I thought and no worse. You know for decades I weighed myself religiously two or more times a day and for the last year I just haven’t been. It’s been freeing in a way. But I know that now that I am really in the mood to drop weight and get back into shape (I have a big birthday coming up next year!) I need to know approximately where I’m starting from. So I did it.

Anyway, I have a mini goal to reach by next Thursday and working hard to get there!
