Blogging will be sporadic… or not this week. It depends.

First of all, I have to give not one, but two talks this week at our Pre-Cana day. I of course have the first one done, but I will have to continue to work on the other one which is how to have a Christian Home! It has to be no more than 30 minutes long so I’m finding it easier to put lots of stuff into it, and then edit stuff out for the sake of time! I’m actually looking forward to it with excitement and dread.

This may be Calvin’s last week of swimming. He has sectionals on Friday and hopefully he can move on to Districts. Calvin is very cool about this whole senior year “last time for everything” stuff. He says he and his friends have a check list and when they complete something for the last time, they just look at each other and say “check” as they check off some invisible list with their fingers. I’m happy for him. I think it’s healthy the way he is saying goodbye to this high school life and looking forward to whatever is in his future. Lord knows, I am doing enough mourning for him. That’s my nature I guess, to just want to hang onto his growing up years, which of course is like trying to grab smoke. This is the sword that just pierces a mother’s heart of course but at the same time fills it with happiness over our child’s progress and accomplishments.

Mr. Pete is going to be super busy at work this week which means I won’t see him very much and he will probably also miss Calvin’s big swim meet on Friday.

Oh… and my mom turns 80 this week and we are having a big party for her here on Sunday! Other than that, same ole, same ole!!

But I do have a post I want to make later about some of the crafts my kids have done recently and another post along the lines of some of the windows God has been kicking me through lately (although he’s been opening them for me first this time so it hasn’t been nearly as painful as it could have been!)More on all of that later!
