I passed my 3000th post last week!!

In some ways I think I’m still kind of a novice blogger. Everything I know about HTML I learned on my own. (But Alexa was a HUGE help in helping me get the blog more like I wanted it to be!) I still have a lot to learn, but most of the basic stuff I can do automatically now without even thinking about it.

I still think in many ways I’m still trying to find where I fit in the blogosphere. I’m also trying to figure out who you guys are! I definitely have a quiet group of readers (although comments have been picking up more- thank you!) A short while ago I had a bad dream where I discovered that most of my readers were friends of NMH (a lady from New Jersey who was giving me grief last year) and that most of what I wrote was mocked.

Other times when I’m blogging though I pretend I’m writing memoirs that will be uncovered in another age by my great-grandchildren who want to learn more and more about their own history. Since I’ve been reading the Little House Prequels I have had that thought more and more. It seems that all we really know of Martha Morse (Laura Ingalls Wilder’s great-grandmother) comes in a letter that Rose Wilder had. The rest is all historical fiction. They are wonderful stories, but I wonder what the real Martha was like and what some of her thoughts were. If blogger survives maybe my kids will know mine.

I created this blog as a way to express myself when I kept catching grief on a liberal Catholic discussion board. It’s evolved into so much more than that. I hope that I can continue to grow with it in the future.
