I have the link a few days ago, but an easier to read, one-page view is available here:
Angelqueen.org

These are my thoughts as I read through the appeal paper:
1. I remember Bud MacFarlane as being a HUGE proponant of homeschooling. His back peddling on that is very bothersome.
2. I find it odd that someone was so bothered by Y2K that they would go to the time and expense of building a home that was Y2K proof. I think I bought a few extra cans of food, a few bottles of water, kissed my rosary and hoped for the best as I watched Dick Clark Rockin New Year’s Eve!
3. It’s horrible that a marriage would break up over how to education the kids.
4. Through the Mary Foundation, Bud MacFarlane made $100,000 a year!! I just can’t get over that figure!!
5. And yet Bai was ordered to pay $50/month child support. I really don’t get it.
6 Bai is being punished for not playing the game well. It’s not about her being a poor parent, but because she didn’t show up when they wanted her to. That’s really all there is to it. It’s a power thing.
7. It bothers me that the court found day care a better situation for the youngest child as opposed to the care of his mother, while the father works full time.
8. What does one make of this paragraph:
The trial court noted that it was well aware that Husband
“is autocratic, egotistical, narcissistic and manipulative.”
Nevertheless, the trial court very carefully explained the evidence
it relied upon in concluding that Wife’s actions were not
beneficial to her children and precluded her from being the
residential parent.

So even though the father is autocratic, egotistical, narcissistic, and manipulative, the mother missed her court date and kept homeschooling and we can’t have that!! Disobedience will be punished apparently to the full extent of the powers of the court.

9: The clear bias of the court against prolonged breastfeeding:
continuing to nurse Cleutus, contrary to medical advice, even though his teeth were rotting; I can’t imagein what the “medical advice” would be based on considering the median world age for weaning is around age 4 or 5. If the child had cavities I suspect it was from other problems (sugary foods, not brushing well) but not breastfeeding.

10. Around 10 or so witnesses testified for Bai, including Bud’s father! and yet the court went with the assessment of the court appointed psychologist who really had some pretty odd ideas about what homeschooling is.
