at least that’s how I would have worded it. The paper went with this:

Schools official to be on `Daily Show’

Akron Board of Education member Rebecca DiDonato Heimbaugh is scheduled to appear on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart at 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Heimbaugh was interviewed last week by Daily Show correspondent Ed Helms about the board’s decision to continue to exclude students not enrolled in the Akron Public Schools — including those attending the district’s own online charter school — from sports or extracurricular activities. A 15-year-old freshman at Akron Digital Academy had hoped to swim for Firestone High.

Also interviewed for the segment, Heimbaugh said, was the freshman, Calvin LaVictoire, and State Sen. Kevin Coughlin, R-Cuyahoga Falls. Coughlin plans to try to change state law to allow students such as Calvin to take part in sports and other activities in their home district.
