Last summer I focused on tips for pregnancy and delivery for all of my Works for Me Wednesday posts. I went through my archives and all of my childbirth links, and I have bundled them all together in one place – my del.icio.us links on childbirth, pregnancy.

You’ll find lots of interesting things in there. Of my 7 pregnancies, I experienced a Cesarean for question able reasons, a hospital VBAC with certified nurse midwives, two homebirths (one baby over 9 pounds one baby almost 11!), one homebirth with emergency transfer and emergency C-section under general anesthetic, a home stillbirth (we knew ahead of time that the baby had passed) and an elective repeat cesarean for medicosociolegal reasons with an epidural. I had my first pregnancy in my late 20s and my last delivery at 46. I had as much as six years of spacing and as close as 15 months. All of my babies were exclusively breast fed over a year, the longest one went over three years.

I often wondered why I didn’t have just run of the mill birth resume, but I think I had all of those experiences for a reason. I certainly would like to help my daughters when the time comes, but if I others can benefit from my experiences, I’d like to do that as well.

So this is all stuff that Worked for Me –
maybe it will work for some of you too!
