I was planning to write a little tutorial myself about using Stumbleupon, but another blogger beat me to it and has a wonderful tutorial here as part of Works for Me Wednesday! So if you’re new to Stumble, check out the very good instructions there.

I have been Stumbling for a few months now and I find Stumble to be a very useful tool. It saves time and hours of searching sometimes.

The one feature that I really enjoy is the ability to “Stumble” through web sites in a focused way, instead of just be random. There are two ways to do this.

1. Stumble through your friend’s stumbles! To do this I simply click on Friends in the Stumble tool bar. I see which one of my “Friends” I feel inspired to check out and click on their picture. Then when the new screen comes up on the upper right hand side I click on “Stumble his/her favorite.” Then the sites that my friend found interesting are the only ones that I will see!

2. I can also stumble by tags or key words. So if I am interested in seeing only homeschool sites, Stumble will only take me to sites others have tagged as homeschool. I think this is very cool! and I can stumble to my heart’s content depending on what I am interested in or in the mood for at the moment.

Works for me!
