I am thinking…
Now that I have my flute performance behind me, I’d like to really challenge myself with more practicing of the basics including scales, major, minor and arpeggios.

I’m also thinking about planning my homeschool year with Rosie and Miss C for next year 8th grade for Rosie and kindergarten for Miss C.

I’m also thinking about the places we will go this summer and the other things I want to accomplish.

I am thankful…
for a little more time!

I am pondering…
Soccer with Charlotte 2018

how much I love this little girl – and how to make her feel more comfortable kicking her soccer ball!

One of my Favorite Things…

This series of articles on the Ben and Me Blog entitled, Why I Homeschool!  Lots of words of wisdom and experience there!

My contribution is here!

I am hearing…
laughter and rejoicing in the kitchen. There will be two weddings in the extended family summer 2019!

In the kitchen…
Baked Turkey breast

I am wearing…
Shorts and a T-shirt finally.

I am going…

  • Walking, exercising, weight lifting and ab work as much as possible. If my knee isn’t better by June, I think a little surgery may be in my future. But I am feeling optimistic. Going upstairs is a lot easier and so is descending the steps.
  • add some additional novenas next year with the help of PrayMoreNovenas.com Mr. Pete started saying the Divine Office with me in the morning and we are going to keep it up even now that Lent is over.
  • to cut my carbs via the Wheat Belly Total Health: The Ultimate Grain-Free Health and Weight-Loss Life Plan recommendations and Intermittent Fasting.  OK – true confession time. I gained 4 pounds in the last few weeks before my performance. Stress eating? too many carbs? Maybe both?   So starting this past weekend I am into the Intermittent fasting – eating one meal a day and perhaps one small meal at dinnertime. I have a goal of losing 10 more pounds before my birthday.
  • Find something new to practice!
  • Get Rosie to her play practices, track practices and piano programs.
  • Start researching everything I need to know before Noah goes to Rome next month.
I am reading…

From the Learning Rooms…

Adobe Spark (20)

MISS C
Charlotte is done with co-op for the year!   But they didn’t get a chance to do this book last week, so I’m going to try to do it with her this week.

I’m planning on baking an apple pie, doing some apple-themed crafts, learning the Adam and Eve story (because there’s an apple in it!) and maybe learning about Johnny Appleseed!

Studies in World History – James Stobaugh

Children’s Choir at Oaks of Righteousness Co-Op and with the parish choir.

Rosie is also taking a writing class online using the Once Upon a Time Saint series as the writing
prompt.

Her very last week of writing class!!

So so far she will have finished General Science and Writing for the Year – and almost done with math!

This semester she is also going to do drama – Pride and Predjudice – the musical!
