My Lent 2019 Book List Plans

Is this the year you really want to dive into Lent? Do you want to come out of this Lenten Season and truly feel that you've had a small share of living in the desert with Christ for 40 days? I know that I do. Maybe it's an upcoming birthday that's making me have more of a now-or-never type of attitude towards Lent. Or maybe I just acutely feel the necessity of truly modeling this for my children, and living it with my husband. Whatever it is, these are the books and resources I'm going to use this Lent to really LIVE the season from Ash Wednesday all the way through to Easter Vigil. Look them over. If something looks helpful to you, use it. If it inspires you, go with it. I hope all of these bless and encourage you.

I am thinking...
about this being Noah's last year in our homeschool before starting college next fall and I'm wondering what that will feel like, not having him around as much next year.

I'm pretty used to not having the older three boys around any more - and their departures ranged from controlled launch to traumatic catastrophe.  But this will be my first one to do higher education so I'm hoping that it will feel more like an adventure than a disaster.

I am thankful...
that the kids seem to be settling into their homeschooling routine. We just about have every topic covered and are even tackling the reading.

I have...
cross country meets and soccer games in my future.  I also have to help Izzy set up her Etsy shop and get some of the things that did not sell at the sale online.

The sale experience was tough- it poured all day and she only made $40 - the booth fee was $50.  Still she learned a lot about what people want to buy and how she should cater to them.

In the kitchen...
Shepherd's pie with squash from my sister's garden.

I am wearing...
Grey skort, grey T-shirt and grey Sketcher shoes.
