Outside my window…

This is the best our back yard area has looked in a long time!  Grass, perennials, lights and a TARDIS!


I am thinking…
about what my sister said yesterday.  She is turning 55 and I am 56.  She said, “Aren’t you happy that we’ll be gone before the real sh#t hits the fan?”

The thing is, I think it might hit the fan before then.

And knowing what my children will have to face – especially the younger three and my granddaughter – I shudder for them.

I am thankful…
for my wonderful husband – who helped me get ready for Izzy’s Sweet 16 Party – from helping with the yard work to making corn hole games just before the party started!

I’m also grateful for all of the friends who showed up to celebrate with Izzy!

I have…
some wedding programs to show my soon-to-be DIL.  Hopefully we can come up with something quickly for the wedding.

I actually typed my own program all those years ago on an electric typewriter I bought at JC Penney!  Then I had to take it to a printer to have it printed!

I am going…

  • to walk or work out every day but Thursday with Pfilates.  
  • work two weddings- one this weekend and one next. Then the third week I am the mother-of-the groom!

I am hoping to …

  • Get lots of flute practice done.
  • Organizing my office, classroom, and laundry.  
  • Bracing for the wedding!
  • Planning some high school courses. 
I am looking forward to...

working on our rehab house.

and the wedding.   Actually I have to facilitate another wedding at church this weekend. Once that is over, the very next wedding I attend – I will be the Mother of the Groom!   I cannot wrap my head around that.

BTW, I helped at a delightful wedding a few months ago. It was different in that our organist wasn’t there and they had an outside pianist play. She was wonderful (and is giving Noah piano lessons this summer). The bride walked down the aisle to this beautiful and haunting melody, on piano instead of violin. I think I’d like to learn it for flute.
