1. Typing my grandmother’s letters onto the blog have made me think more about her. I loved my grandma with all my heart, but some of her personality flaws are etched into my brain cells. That would could hold a grudge – for decades!! And it didn’t necessary matter what a person did to make amends, the transgression would remain in the forefront of her thoughts when dealing with the transgressor. She could rant and rave about something that happened years ago as if it happened yesterday, and get just as angry too.

I find that I have a little bit of that inside myself and incidents that happened years ago still tend to sting when I revisit them. The difference for me seems to be that my memory isn’t as sharp as grandma’s was. I can remember that a person hurt my feelings but I might not be able to remember exactly how.
