Last year my cousins had a great idea for the family reunion - a collection of favorite recipes and memories from all over the family tree entitled - The Foods that Made Us!
In the fall they sent out a letter letting us know about the project. About six months later they sent out reminders to anyone who hasn't sent in a contribution. Friendly e-mails and phone calls
But their persistence paid off! At the family reunion we were able to have a beautiful little cookbook with stories and recipes from our loved ones near and far. With a forward from my Aunt Grace (one of the family matriarchs now)this became a truly wonderful keepsake!
