Outside my Window…It is cold and rainy. The tree outside my window has turned all of its leaves brown and dry, but it has yet to release them to the ground.

I am thinking…a lot about this election and how screwed this country is going to be if Obama wins the presidency and the Democrats hold congress. There will be a shift to the left in this country that will be unprecedented. And I don’t understand why solid middle class people that I know, just can’t see that. I am totally baffled to understand why they want socialism to take over our way of life. It is unbelievable to me.

From the learning rooms…Sam and I are going to study the Revolutionary war! We studied the battles last week and are heading for the constitution this week.

I am thankful for…the voting process, because unlike my liberal sisters who gnaw and gnash their teeth together whenever the political scene doesn’t go their way, I understand that these things go in cycles and I think if Obama wins, he will be a one term president like Jimmy Carter.

From the kitchen…I’m fixing a turkey for tomorrow and then turkey buritos later in the week!

I am wearing…sweat pants and my husband’s long sleeved shirt.

I am reading…

I am hoping…to really camp down on Sam this week and get him moving towards taking the CLEP test in American History (pre 1877) before the end of the year).

I am creating…a lot of blog posts between now and the election. I told Mr. Pete I am going to blog my fingers to the bone in defense of life and the unborn.

I am hearing…silence (other than my “normal” ear buzz!)

Around the house…I will be doing laundry.

One of my favorite things…is this time of fall as we head into All Saints and All Souls. I love visiting the cemetery, I love the cemetery mass, I love remembering our dead relatives and friends.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…get ready for All Saints Day and Raphael’s birthday. It occurred to me that this week is exactly like the week six years ago when we lost him. I found out on a Tuesday, we celebrated All Saints Day on Friday, and he was born on the feast itself on Saturday.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…
