I support Sarah Palin!

Back in April I linked to the story of Governor Palin and her new born son with Down's Syndrome Trig! I was inspired by her courage and generosity then and I am thrilled to have her on the ticket with John McCain now!

Here's why!
1. I love that she has a large family with a son in the military to a new born with special needs and three lovely daughters in between. She would be a working mom even without the career!

2. I love that she and her husband chose to birth and raise their special needs son. She really is the face of the other side of that "choice."

3. I love that she is actually from Alaska - you know, where we have all the great oil reserves that no one wants to let us drill for! I love that she knows the area, that she knows a bit about the oil business and that she is very much for our ability to drill

4. I love that she has worked as an executive, but hasn't sacrificed her femininity to do it! There is even a picture floating around of her signing a piece of legislation with her baby in his snugglie!

5. Her husband is a man's man. Guys will love this dude. Mr. Pete was very impressed with the snowmobile racing!

This is a real woman from small town America, in the last great frontier, with a real family - couldn't get more Americana that this. I think this was a great choice and already has the drive by news media forgetting that the Democrats just wrapped up their convention last night.
