Outside my Window…it looks like another overcast and rainy day – it has been that way now for over a week.

I am thinking…that today would have been my grandfather’s 107th birthday. I really miss him.

Calvin and Helen Leckrone

I am thankful … that I had a chance to know my grandfather. I’m grateful that my grandparents took my mom and me in when I was little. I’m grateful for all the wonderful times we had in the garden and listening to Tiger Baseball. I’m grateful that he got to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day.

From the kitchen…Not sure yet. It’s going to be a tight money week. I’m thinking chicken breasts though – saw them for $1.99 at the grocery store.

I am creating…a menu and a work schedule.

I am going…to try to get some upper body exercises in today and to get my typing all done.

I am wearing…black capris and a purple knit shirt.

I am reading…For the Love of Literature (which I am loving!) I am also reading Still Me by Christopher Reeves. Yes, I am a slow reader – I just don’t have a lot of time and I end up re-reading stuff that I already read.

I am hoping…to get Sam back on the right track with his summer schooling! He was working with Mr. Pete last week.

I am hearing… the whir of this big exhaust fan!

Around the house…still working on that basement although I made big strides last week.

One of my favorite things…Rosie’s nap time! Me thinks this will continue to be my favorite thing for a while.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…I’d like to do the tour of historic trees. They are also moving an historic building this week and I’d like to take the kids down to see that!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing for you…
I was just fortunate to catch this picture of Izzy at the pool. I love her arms in this shot.
