Why are liberal blogs so full of

angst. Handwringing. Anxiety. I had a chance to actually do some surfing today and every one of the liberal blogs I've got book marked on Bloglines were just so...sad? angry? hostile? at everyone, no one, the church, the pope, George W. Bush, all the above, not necessarily in that order. These are the folks that usually sign off with "peace" or talk about being spiritual and holy while performing the corporal and spiritual works of mercy and living the Gospel, all the while railing against religion, the church, doctrines and theology, as if they are mutually exclusive and independent of each other instead of being intricately connected and bonded.

Is it the time of year? Too much sunshine? Whatever happened to, "This is the Day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad?"
