I looked at this for my oldest son a few years ago, but the $450 price tag was just a bit too high. It’s still high, but if I could find a way I would LOVE for Sam to take this class.

After a study of the Creed with emphasis on texts from both the Old and New Testaments, this course will feature an intense study of the Christian Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist, with special emphasis on Confirmation’s theological meaning in relationship to Baptism and Eucharist. The Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church will be the texts for the course. Students will be required to write regularly assigned essays that draw from both Scripture and the Catechism.

Fr. Torraco, at the successful completion of the course, will write a letter to the respective authorities of the diocese/parish in which students reside and to which they are accountable for the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The letter will verify both the material studied and the student’s successful completion of the course of study. Parents need to make arrangements with their local parish/diocesan authorities for their children’s actual reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
