“Why not try being a Catholic missionary? You could start this summer for ten weeks. You could live in a van! Think of what you could tell your friends and family.

We are a Catholic apostolate called the Young Disciples. My hope is that you will consider this opportunity either for yourself or passing the information on to others.

Our greatest need is team members. We already have 32 week long missions and camps booked for Summer 2006.

We are looking for Catholic adults (must be at least 18 years old) who love Jesus, who love being Catholic and who would consider being a part of a summer mission team.

Are you interested in knowing more? If so, let us know.
Do you know someone who might be a team member? If so, let us know.
Applications are now being accepted.

I could send you some brochures and posters.

Our website is: www.fargodiocese.org/youngdisciples

In five summers, we have reached nearly 4560 students in 114 elementary camps not to mention the many teens, adults, seniors and host homes affected. We have had team members from 21 different states (including ND, SD, MN, TX, NM, CA, OR, ID, LA, MI, WI, KT, NY, PA, IL, MS, NC, SC, NJ, OH, IA, and Slovakia) who have all given 10 weeks of their summer to teach the Catholic Faith.

The full commitment is for 10 weeks, beginning May 18 through July 30, 2006.

What do we do? After three weeks of great training and fellowship, the teams travel from town to town putting on week long summer camps and teen missions. Every camp includes daily Mass, Reconciliation, prayer, small groups, music, and games – all with the hope of bringing others to know Jesus and His Family, the Church.

Sincerely, In Christ,
