What to do with Christmas Cards?

An idea from a lady in my homeschool group that I thought I'd share:

I wanted to find a use for all the beautiful Christmas cards we received. So, a few years ago we started to make a paper chain with them. The kids or I cut off a strip of the front of the card and on the other side we write the name of who sent it to us. Then, we roll them up and staple it , card after card until they are all used up. I usually store the chain on the end of one of the curtain rods. Then, when Lent rolls around every night we pull off a chain and pray for that person/persons whose name is written on the chain. We usually do this at dinnertime. We've found it's a nice way to remember others in prayer. thought someone else might be interested in this idea.
