Socrates-
The father of classical philosophy. A simple man
of Athens without much money and apparently
without much to do. He went around professing
his ignorance and trying to get people to
rationally justify what they believed and what
they were doing with their lives. Quite a few
important people ended up looking foolish and
Socrates was put on trial and excecuted. His
death is an extremely romanticized event in the
history of philosophy, inspiring people to
dedicate their lives to the Truth.
