Frequent readers will remember my long, long, long discussion with Bonnie last month about NFP, contraception, the bible, abortion etc. etc. Those types of discussions take a lot of time, effort, research etc. In short, you sort of pour a bit of yourself into them.

So it’s a bit disheartening (although not surprising) then to read over on Bonnie’s Blog this comment:

It seems you have gone to extensive lengths to show the logical equivalence of artificial contraception and the rhythm method. In my opinion, you have succeeded. I don’t see the difference between the two.

and part of Bonnie’s reply:

I merely wanted to show that NFP and AC are both methods of contraception.

Rather than taking a theological approach to it then, I wonder of an anthropological examination would have been more persuasive?
