Women have been fooling themselves for decades that they can somehow become physically equal to men. At the same time, the cult of the sexy young woman has run rampant. Any signs of aging must be ruthlessly quashed or a woman's desirability vanishes. Instead of having the powerful, influential, wholly-womanly leaders in our society that we ought to have (our crones, if you will pardon the reference from the New Age mother-goddess ideas), our young fertile women are scrambling to climb the corporate ladder and supressing their menstural cycles and ovulations . . . while our ageing women are frantically trying various surgeries, hormonal treatments, and invasive procedures in order to allow them to bear children, keep taut skin and firm breasts, and to keep the dragon of menopause at bay.
Isn't that totally screwed up?
