Mr. Pete’s Business

Ten years ago, with a 5 year old and a 1 year old, and homeschooling on the horizon, my husband made the bold move to leave his unethical employer, and start his own business, Musician’s Repair Service.

It hasn’t been easy, in fact it was a rocky road from the start. We survived on little to no income, with no government assistance as he built his shop with his partner, from the ground up. We were sued by his previous employer but prevailed, although our legal fees came to $170,000, which we paid off in a little over eight years. We had three more children and paid for those deliveries and had the normal childhood fractures, cavities etc.

There were times our marriage was stressed to the breaking point, where utilities were shut off, where the kids ran to empty toy boxes to catch the rain as it leaked into our living room, and where I couldn’t imagine how we could make it one more month, but we did.

Looking back now, I can’t say that I feel anything but numb. It’s been a wild ride, but we made it.

That said my husband is a darn good repair technician with a good name, and his integrity. His business is growing along with his reputation.

So without further adieu, for all of your band instrument needs, may I present the official new web site of Musicians Repair Service and Percussion Solutions!

I’m putting the link on the left too for further reference.
